Do you know the Two Plus Two poker forum? It’s a great place to get poker news and discuss poker hands. I’ve been a member on there since my first days of playing poker in college in 2000. I still remember reading strategy posts from Greg Raymer years before he ever won the WSOP Main Event. (Yes, I’m old.)
Mason Malmuth is the co-owner of 2+2, along with David Sklansky. They’ve written and published many intelligent books on poker and gambling, and have published/edited many more. Recently Mason wrote book reviews of my two books, and gave them both a 10/10 rating. (Here’s the review for Reading Poker Tells and here’s the review for Verbal Poker Tells.) I was very honored. (In fact, it may be that Mason thinks more highly of my books more than I do.)
Soon after, 2+2 asked if I was interested in hosting a new forum on tells/behavior. My duties would be curating the forum (editing titles, deleting bad posts) and occasionally weighing in with my humble opinions and input. I’ve been a longtime 2+2 fan so I was honored to do so. And obviously there’s some promotional value for me there, too.
So here’s the new poker tells/behavior forum on 2+2. Feel free to post any questions or interesting live hand histories in there and there’s a good chance I’ll read them sometime and give an opinion.
I was also recently on the 2+2 Pokercast, hosted by Adam Johnson and Terrance Chan. I was on for about an hour and they asked some great questions. We talked about the difficulties of analyzing poker tells, my work for 2013 November Niner Amir Lehavot, and some common poker tells. Here’s the 2+2 Poker Podcast episode with me in it.
