Synopsis: This video examines immediate pre-flop calls. In general, quick calls will tend to make a fairly wide range of strong hands considerably less likely. This is because players with very strong hands and even decently strong hands (e.g., TT, JJ, AK, AQs) will tend to think a bit before calling. Even if they will most of the time be calling with those hands, your average player will still at least consider a raise.
